Trip to Missouri

We visited Dylan's family in Missouri all last week. It was so great to see everyone!

Micah's first trip to the zoo

Dylan's mom LOVES giraffes so she was excited for Micah to be able to feed them!

Micah got LOTS of attention while we were there...I think he would like this all the time :)

Dylan and I got to get away one night for a nice date. We always forget to take pictures while we're out so then we end up taking a picture in the car...lame.

The Mullet Is Gone!

We finally cut Micah's mullet. Dylan had a mullet when he was young and wanted Micah to walk in his footsteps I guess? Anyway, he agreed to cutting it after SO many people were calling him a girl!

Look how gross his hair was!!

Now he looks so sweet and cute!

Lots to catch up on...

We just got internet in our house which is part of the reason I haven't posted in so long - the other part is just because I'm lazy at blogging. Anyways - I promised pictures of Micah's first birthday so...here ya go!

Where Did The Time Go?

One year ago today Dylan and I were blessed with the most amazing gift....our sweet boy, Micah!

I can't believe he's already a year old. Not really sure where the time went, but he's been such a blessing to us. I look forward to the many more years making memories with this goofy boy!

Happy First Birthday, Micah Samuel!

He Is Risen!

We had a great Easter Weekend with family. Last Thursday I had a conversation with a friend talking about Easter and why we celebrate...I'm thankful for times like that. I can so easily get rapped up in the business that comes along with every holiday, I forget the true meaning! Thursday night we had a few families over for a Passover meal, Friday was Good Friday service, and Sunday was Easter - followed by lunch at my Grandmother's house.

California

Our trip to California was so fun! For all of those people who told me I would cry on the plane or miss Micah way too much to have fun...you're crazy! I had a blast. It was so refreshing to have time with Dylan. We stayed busy with the events we had to attend for his work, but we also had down time every afternoon. When we first got there it was cold and rainy - yuck! The rain eventually stopped, but the whole trip was a little cold. We spent time at the spa and relaxed our first day...it was so nice! Our second day we got to see Dylan's sister, Jasmine! She graciously drove 3 hours each way just to spend a couple of hours with us. We haven't seen her since we got married so it was great to spend time with her. Each night when we got back to our rooms after dinner, we had a present. :) So...thanks AT&T for the Eddie Bauer fleeces and the Maui Jim sunglasses. Or should I say - thanks Dylan for all the hard work you did! Overall, we had so much fun...any time AT&T wants to send us on a trip, they can!

The pictures don't really give the resort justice...it was absolutely beautiful! We were right on the beach with mountains all around. I am so thankful for this time Dylan and I had!

I'm Bragging

I have to brag for a second about my husband, Dylan. Today is a very exciting day for us! He got a phone call this morning from the president of AT&T congratulating him on his accomplishments. For the year of 2010 Dylan was #1 in the WHOLE state of South Carolina for sales and customer service! He's #2 out of South Carolina and North Carolina. As I type this, I'm getting emotional because if you know Dylan, you know he's a busy man with school, work, and family...BUT he never complains. Dylan is such a hard worker. He's the most patient, loving, joyful person I have ever known. I'm so thankful to have such a Godly man leading our family!

You may ask, how is AT&T thanking Dylan for being so great? They are sending us on vacation! We get a paid 4 day trip to California! :) The resort and all the amenities look amazing! We're so excited! Even though we absolutely love our little man, Micah - it would be great to have a vacation just Dylan and me. So - if you think about it, pray that by next month Micah will be an expert at taking a bottle! :)

Love you, Dylan! I appreciate you more than you'll ever know!

It's been a while

I really enjoy reading peoples blogs. For some reason when I think of updating ours, it feels like homework. Maybe that's why I haven't updated in about 4 months :) Anyways - I was thinking of the past two years and how much change has gone on. 2009 Dylan and I got married, 2010 Micah was born - wonder what 2011 will bring?! As 2010 was coming to an end, I couldn't help but look back at how blessed we are. I remember when I found out I was pregnant, I started to have so many anxious thoughts of what the future would hold. Dylan and I had only been married 3 months, my heart has always been to stay home with my children, Dylan was (and still is) in school and working full time, we lived in a one bedroom apartment... you get the point...needless to say - the Lord has been so faithful to us. He has continually provided for us and guided us throughout everything. I look forward to this year and what the Lord will do.

I haven't posted in so long, but Micah is officially on the move! He's crawling around everywhere! He has two teeth and loves to bite...not good. I have been trying to give him solid foods and this boy is picky. If you've seen Micah's physique, you would think he would eat anything and everything, but that's definitely not the case. It's a work in progress :)

Here's a picture of Micah on Christmas day. He loved his new toys from Nana!
